I feel like to improve the gas mileage, we must have good roads so that we can drive smoothly with no frequent gear changes. This will definately save gas for us. Hence it is very important for us to drive in good roads leaving a bad road. It is also the duty of the government to lay roads of quality.

Roads without humps will do the needy, some irregularities in the surface of the road can also affect mileage to a great extend, specially when you are on a long trip.

the infrastructure of the roads , play a very major role in the mileage, nowadays most of the roads are given a rubber coating, so there is enough friction.

There are also many other ways to increase mileage. We cannot blame government for everything. There are many things the government should look out.

Government is very active now a days. The recent road infrastruture even include good roads with refilling stations for our hybrid cars.
