I believe Solar Screens are just like window screens but use a different material, I have seen some houses with these.

I think most colder states are not familar with window screens, since there is no real use for them besides keeping bugs out.

Solar Screens are not the same as basic window screens, I believe the material used for the screen is not the same as a window scree, but I have no idea where they sell these or what the exact difference is.

I have these on my windows too. I'm not really sure if I save on my electric bill but, it really helps with the summer months. Living in Texas we have warm weather for about 10 months and my house has big windows in the living room. I can certainly tell the difference from before and I don't even need drapes. I just have those material blinds in white and its so much cooler in my living room now and you can't see in anymore.

Wow that is a cool one, now am planning to buy one . As no one will be able to see through, this window can be highly secure.

Actually Builders are starting to put these in some new apartments that they are building. I have seen a total of 10 apartments complex that have these. I guess living in the South where its hot most of the year they figured it would be best to invest in solar screens.
