GM recalling 2007 GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook

General Motors has announced that all the 2007 GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook will be recalled because of potentially faulty airbag sensors. The recall affects all 13,032 of the vehicles on the road. The problem stems from a faulty sensor that controls the front airbags’ deployment. It will also prevent the vehicle from alerting owners of a malfunction. I just wonder why these problems cannot be caught before the cars start rolling out of the assembly plants. Don't people actually test these before they are ready to be sold to the public. We're talking about public safety here!

I would think the same that these vehicles would get inspected before being sent out. Its a bum deal that people bought this car and have been driving it, while it wouldn't protect them in an accident.
